I can't believe that the parents of these children would allow them to be put in any kind of dangerous situation. I agree that children should learn responsibilities but not at the expense of their welfare. Are these parents so desperate for their children to be on television that they risk their lives. Most parents worry what their children are up to when they are at home. I don't know how they slept at night not knowing what was happening to them. Shame on you parents.

I was appaulled at the very idea of this show. It seem to me that the kids were employed by CBS. If it wasn't employment, then it was slavery... albeit slavery for ratings. If they weren't employed than I suppose CBS isn't planning on selling ad spots to sponsors, because for them to make money off of kids they weren't employing... well something just doesn't jive there. I have never liked any of these "reality" shows, and this one is an all time low. I never really watch CBS...but now I'll be blocking that channel on my television. BOYCOT CBS...

When will these ridiculous "reality" shows end?Unable to render embedded object: File (? I have seen the preview and it's so incredibly stupid) not found. I don't have kids, but there would be absolutely no way I would send them to be tortured. And I can't believe there are parents out there that were willing to let their kids be a part of it! Anything for some money, huh? And now, 1 parent has the nerve to complain it was child abuse. But they let their child on it to begin with? Um, that does not make any sense to me. I hope no one watches this show and it flops, these reality shows need some limatation!

Dear folks:

The reason why this "reality show" was not in California was because here the producers would get their hind end sued off for child abuse, assuming these allegations are true. Frankly I hope the kid's parents find justification for California jurisdiction, lawyer up and go for it.

What about the parents that LET their children on this show? What in the world were they thinking, looks like a few parents will get some major money for this via lawsuits.

There were adults present, just out of camera view, so the whole thing is bogus anyway.

What good parent would release their child to tv producers?! ::shakes head:: Idiots. I have a hard enough time letting my kid go to school for 4 hours a day. These parents are idiots and I guess they now know that you cant just give your kids up to anyone. duh

The parents need to be disciplined. It is their job to raise their own children and admit they made a mistake on allowing their children tobe into this situaltion (the parents) of these children should be responsible. Hopefully all involved in the planning and making of this show all learn that children need supervision.

My 10 year old granddaughter's agent in Miami, Florida called her to tryout for this show and because we would not allow her to miss school she didn't get the job – THANK GOD! We would never allow her to be on any set unless an adult family member could be with her – money is never that important to us but she is.

I WOULD NEVER WANT HER TO BE ON A SHOW LIKE THIS AND I WOULD NEVER LET HER WATCH IT!

I totally think thee was an amount of child abuse here. I saw alot of children crying thru out the commercials. Just becasue you signed a contract as parent does not emant that you wre told everything. Alot of things could ahve happened during the taping that Parents were not aware of til it was over. I cannot imagine aloowing my child to patake in such a show. I am not sure most good parents would. I am sure those who did thought it was going to be better supervised and easy money. I ahd said ever sicne I aw that first commercial that I felt that was borderline child abuse. We have out children to protect them and love them. I am sure this was very hard on these younger children especially.

I can say that these parents had to of signed something to say it was ok for the kids to do this sort of reality show..The parents are just mad that there kids are not getting that rich off of it and had a bad time..the parents are the ones to blame . I have a 9 year old there is no way in hell he would last 40 days away from home without seeing me, and there is no way he would be out of school that long..education is more important than any reality show..they are startin to push this reality t.v. too far!!!!

Ummmmm...... where were the parents and why would they allow their children to be on a "set" for 40 days during the school year??? They want to complain about child abuse, they are the first perpetrators of it!

Stop Babying your children. Did you know in africa they have 4 and 5 year olds killing deer and cutting them into portions for the tribe, and having their children go on long journeys for food and water. You people are too stuck up and ignorant. And for the one saying "I have a 9 year old there is no way in hell he would last 40 days away from home without seeing me, and there is no way he would be out of school that long..education is more important than any reality show" Well at 9 years old your not learning much except for basic multiplying and dividing and some basic history lessons, And learning how to be mature and not have to whine and beg to get a drink across the room is alot more important education then that. Because while your kid is not learning how to grow up and is whining because you wont get him a snack across the room kids who learn these lessons are getting up and learning that if they want stuff they need to work for it.
